Every year, the community comes together for an event filled with heart, hope, and a touch of circus magic—the Dream Big Gala. In this episode, Amy Morgan, marketing coordinator for Pediatric Dental Associates & Orthodontics, sits down with Peyton from the Children’s Safety Center (CSC) to give us an inside look at one of their most cherished local events.
For the Children’s Safety Center, the mission is clear: support child abuse victims and their families, offering advocacy, medical exams, therapy, and community education, all free of charge. The Dream Big Gala, now in its 10th year of partnership with PDAO, has blossomed into a vibrant, can-not-miss celebration, marked by its signature circus theme.
Set for July 26th at the Fayetteville Town Center, the gala starts at 6 pm (don’t forget, that’s an hour earlier than usual this year). The night promises dancing, delicious food from a variety of amazing local restaurants, circus acts, a live DJ, and, of course, connections to a truly worthy cause. If you’re a sweet tooth, the popcorn bar (with every topping you can imagine, from M&Ms to gummy bears) is back by popular demand, courtesy of the team at PDAO!
Can’t make it in person? You can still join the excitement (and support the mission) by registering for the online auction. From unique experience packages (like tasting dinners at House 1830 or a picturesque sailboat tour on Beaver Lake) to incredible items like a full orthodontic case, there’s something for everyone. And new to this year’s event, you can register for the “auction only” option online—no ticket purchase required!
Beyond the big night, the Children’s Safety Center prioritizes prevention. Peyton highlights how the CSC team offers training for teachers, doctors’ offices, families, and anyone invested in child welfare—both in English and Spanish. These sessions cover everything from mandated reporter education to general awareness, strengthening the community’s ability to recognize and respond to abuse.
