We are so excited to announce our Smiles Are Wild Book Club book of the month! This April, we are reading The Amelia Six by Kristin L. Gray. Kristin is a local author based in Northwest Arkansas, and she is very passionate about children’s books and stories.
In The Amelia Six, six girls are invited to spend the night at Amelia Earhart’s childhood home in Atchison, Kansas. As with most sleepovers, the night is filled with fun and shenanigans. They have a scavenger hunt and loads of candy before a blizzard knocks out the power, and Amelia’s flight goggles go missing. It’s up to the girls to band together and identify the culprit.
This youthful whodunit story is recommended for children ages eight to twelve, but we encourage our older patients to check it out as well!
This month, Kristin has graciously offered to donate a signed copy of the book for a giveaway, and the winner might have the opportunity to meet her!
